About Cameron
. Because I was born in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1956, I consider myself a native Virginian. I moved around many times as a child but returned to to this area after having a military career in the US Navy from 1978 through 1984, and I was a professional horse breeder and trainer in New York from 1985 through 1988. My new family and I finally returned to Nelson County, Virginia in 1989. Being that the horse business was more of a financial drain than originally anticipated, I researched my options and chose Real Estate as my best choice for providing for my family.
I advertised myself as "Going Out on a Limb" for my customers.
I became a licensed agent with my first company Roy Wheeler in 1991, where I was honored with several salesmanship awards. I eventually became more and more interested in land as opposed to traditional home purchases. Wandering mountain tops, digging in the dirt for ancient property markers, studying topography maps and imagining scenic views from wooded parcels not only appealed to me, the land seemed to call to me. Eventually, I became known in the business as "The Land Man".

The aquisition of land poses many different issues compared to existing residential or "improved" property. There are easements, some deeded some not, different types of rights of way, perscriptive, deeded, platted. Is the site suitable for a traditional septic system? Where is the nearest available power? Water? What are the real costs associated with your plan of development?
All of these things can and should be determined before before taking title to your new property. I bring over 20 years of experience; buying, selling and developing parcels of all sizes. I will help you make an informed decision. Whether you are looking to purchase thousand acre timber tracts or a small subdivision lot, I can help you navigate the process with ease and confidence.
